Horsehair, Coir, Natural Latex
The natural fibres (animal hair and coir fibre) are needled or bonded with natural latex to form resilient sheets (HairlokŪ and CocolokŪ).
Compared with petroleum based products, the raw materials which Enkev uses are not in limited supply; they are constantly being reproduced by nature and the ecological balance is not endangered.
Horsehair
Horsehair is a hollow fiber which transports the moisture away from the body and fresh air to the body ensuring a comfortable micro climate which regulates the bodytemperature. Horsehair serves like a natural air-conditioner and makes a bed breathe. Apart from these attributes, horsehair has an unmatched natural resilience which makes it an extremely comfortable product.
Coir
Coco-fibre is collected from the coconut husk and once transformed into sheets, it is used in products, providing excellent ventilation properties. The sheets can be sprayed with natural latex for rigidity and at the same time acquire elasticity. The sheets can also be needled. Doing so the sheet aquires ventilation and resiliance.
The coir fibre is a very tough fibre. It's elastic, strong and - in time - it hardly deteriorates. The fibre has good properties for temperature management (insulation and mattress) and sound/wave absorbtion (sound insulation and microwave absorbtion). It's a hygroscopical fibre so it binds excess room humidity
Natural latex
It's soft and supportive, it helps relieves pressure points, it's antimicrobial, and resists mold and dust mites. Natural latex is a natural renewable material. 100% Pure Natural Latex is inherently hypo-allergenic, anti-microbial and dust mite resistant, making it perfect for allergy sufferers or anyone wanting to breathe fresh, clean air while they sleep. In addition, natural latex is breathable, keeping you warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Enkev sells latex cores in a wide range of sizes and densities for mattress production. Apart from that we use natural latex as a binder and resilience enhancer in our rubberized and needled products.
