Horsetail / Cattle Tail
These are coarse hairs with a long staple that are used by the top quality range bedding manufacturers and upholsterers to provide greater durability and comfort to their products. The top range bed manufacturers will use hair in the divan as well as the mattress to skilfully create dome and roll shapes by using traditional ‘hand made’ production techniques. This type of hair is extensively used by all the premium quality manufacturers in the UK and Europe.
White Horse/White Cattle/Wild White
These are shorter hairs from the whole animal and are used in much the same way as horsetail but as a cheaper alternative. These hairs are bleached to look visually lighter and cleaner.
