Alpaca hair
Alpaca fleece is rapidly moving to the
top of the elite "specialty fibre" range. Admission to this
select circle means that a fibre must be rare and extremely
fine. Alpaca fibre easily meets both of these demanding
standards. The fibres are almost indestructible: fine-woven
alpaca garments in remarkably good condition have recently
been discovered in Peruvian ruins dating back 2500 years.
