Enkev takes every precaution to eliminate harmful substances from its finished products - in the interest of the environment and the health of the users of your furniture or mattress.
Raw materials
Enkev purchases its raw materials - such as coir, hair and latex - directly in the country of origin, for instance in China, South America, Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
Enkev has a reliable supplier base: long-standing suppliers who know the requirements which we set for the raw materials they supply. Long-term co-operation and a realistic price enable our suppliers to produce in an ecologically sound manner. Upon arrival in our factories, the raw materials are tested on a number of essential criteria and only allowed into production after Q.A. acceptance approval.
Production process
Since the entire production process at Enkev is based in-house, quality assurance and environment-friendly manufacturing can be guaranteed. This starts with the cleaning, spinning and steaming of the natural fibres. Enkev is one of the few producers to manufacture its latex compound according to its own formulation, using the most environmentally friendly vulcanising agents.
Regular inspection
Our finished products are tested by recognised institutes for the possible presence of some 130 harmful substances. This is why Enkev guarantees that its products comply with national and international standards, including the stringent requirements of the German QUL (Qualitätsverband Umweltverträgliche Latexmatratzen) and are certified according to Öko-Tex 100.
Needless to say, test reports and certificates are available for inspection by our customers.
Mechanical quality
To ensure that all Enkev products last comfortably into old age, their mechanical properties and durability are also tested. These tests are conducted by institutes with specific experience in the field of furniture and mattresses. As the tests show, the elasticity and durability of Enkev natural fibres are unsurpassed.
