The natural elasticity of Enkev natural fibres, combined with their ventilating and pressure-dividing properties, gives an extra dimension to each type of mattress. Hardly surprising therefore that HairlokŪ, HaircolokŪ and CocolokŪ are used in infinite diversity in a great variety of mattresses, such as spring interior, pocket spring, latex foam, cot mattresses, futons, natural mattresses and box-springs.
Some natural mattresses even contain almost 100% Enkev natural fibres and latex foam. By using different hardnesses or materials in one and the same mattress, the individual wishes of the user can be met to optimal effect. Apart from rubberised sheets, Enkev supplies a wide range of needled hair, coir, sisal, hemp and jute, if required sprayed with a thin coating of latex. High-grade hair types such as curled horsehair - often applied by hand as a comfort layer in the mattress - are also frequently used.
The capillary properties of these natural fibres ensure a comfortable micro-climate which regulates the temperature and moisture in a natural way.
For application in anti-decubitus mattresses, Enkev has developed an extremely flexible comfort layer on the basis of curled polyester fibres bonded with water-resistant, washable latex compound.
100% Natural latex foam cores for a good night’s sleep
Natural latex is an excellent basis for a perfect mattress.
The high point-elasticity follows the contours of the body and provides optimal support with maximum comfort. Combinations with CocolokŪ, for example, offer a great diversity in comfort and firmness, matched precisely to the posture and wishes of the user.
For the manufacture of a latex foam core from 100% natural latex, fresh and stable latex has to be used. This is why the Enkev latex foam cores are manufactured using latex from selected plantations in Malaysia, where one of the principal agricultural activities is the production of rubber. As no filling materials are added, the natural latex foam cores have an exceptionally durable elasticity.
Besides 100% latex foam, Enkev (UK) Ltd. can also provide flame-retardant latex foam meeting the special requirements of the UK and institutional markets. Our plants in Holland, Poland and the UK have a large stock of latex foam cores in many dimensions and hardnesses.
The cores are cut into sheets with various thicknesses on a horizontal cutting machine. If required, latex foam can be fabricated with other materials, such as CocolokŪ, and made into a mattress core or seats for furniture.
