Enkev natural fibres are used in a multitude of finished products. Varying from mattresses, furniture and car seats to (biological) filters. From insulating material, packaging to truly customized technical applications. And, the number of applications is increasing all the time. This is partially due to the innovative thinking of Enkev but mostly this is due to the growing interest in materials which don't harm the environment. Enkev natural fibres offer an environmentally friendly alternative to synthetic materials.

Innovations

For the mattress industry we produce without any doubt the finest and most comfortable cushoning products available. Our horsehair and coir products are of the highest quality available in the market place. And, we have come up with a number of innovations to help the modern mattressmaker/upholsterer work with these traditional materials.

In the packaging/transport industry we've invented some innovative rubberized coir products to transport and store rotorblades of giant windmills and helicopters. For the storage of light nuclear waste we're qualified to make rubberized coir containers.

Other innovations were made together with the military. Examples are microwave absorbing coir sheets and shockabsorbing packaging materials made from animal hair or coir.

Vertifill Wool

Vertifill Wool is a new vertical fibre filling material for use in Mattresses and Upholstery. Vertifill is 70% Wool that is thermally bonded with a special
Bi-component. Its unique properties give excellent resilience and recovery after compression.

Enkev also supplies complementary products for the furniture and mattress industry, such as natural latex foam, memory foam, needled wool, springs and ticking.
